IRC problems

I can't seem to post on the #pioneer IRC channel. I can login and see conversation, but I get a "404 #pioneer Cannot send to nick/channel" whenever I want to post. Did anything change since I was last there several months ago? Did I get banned? :)

Hi Clausimu, the thing that's changed is that there's currently an ongoing problem with spambots.

"Due to the persistent ongoing spam, all new connections are being set +R (block messages from unidentified users) and will be scanned for vulnerabilities. This will not harm your computer, and vulnerable hosts will be notified."

Anyway it's still going on for months now.

You have to register an account name + password before you can chat in a channel now.

Thanks for the instructions. I'm trying, but somehow can't get through the registration process. I think I have registered, but I don't get the confirmation email to verify my account. I'll figure this out eventually. :)
