Alright, screw soundcloud, I am going to start to upload them in .rar or .zip files.

Re: New Music (moved to SoundCloud)

I finally found traces of other composers that did stuff for Pioneer so I will also store them here (if it is OK to do so):

-----who I believe is emajogi------

-----this fellow has offered music for Pioneer a few years ago, I think he/she was ignored-----

RAR file for 2(+1) new tracks; Tranquility and Europa

Europa is a fast-ish track with piano, violin, a fast but... err... "smooth" beat, accompanied with a not-so-distinguishable "AAAAAAHHHHH!" in the background. Not an eerie AAAAAHHHHH, but like a... You probably wouldn't hear it if I didn't tell you about it.

Tranquility... I will admit I don't like this one much. Something I did to have fun in my free time. It has a piano with a fake echo effect, a slowish-but-not-so-slow beat with a "background" made by a synth and wind sound effect.

There's an unnamed track which has no use (back then I was thinking about faction themes) but I wanted it to be there. I made it using a tracker some time ago but I think I deleted the .mod file I used. Anyway, it is an orchestral one (resembles an 8 bit, maybe 16 bit orchestra) which starts with a slow tune of french horns with militaristic snare drums, then further into the piece a violin joins and the drums suddenly increase their tempo as the piece reaches the climax. Then it gets slower again then ends with a few orchestra "hits".

@impaktor Have a look. I made it before going to bed the night we talked about it.

Note that it is not the final product. Just a very quick example. I plan to make it slower a bit... And change some stuff...

I added a few more variations. Pick the best. I might make some more later.

(For reference, we're discussing my comment on #4038)

This is the exact part of the game play that is the death sound (I removed first 0.35 seconds from your death3.ogg).

Available for 30 days:

Only bad thing is it's captured by external microphone. I have the game on my home computer, so I could capture it from there. But then is the questions, do we want the exact same sound or a very close recreation of it? Personally, I'd like the exact sound, but that might not be so "OK" from a copyright standpoint, but it's not like someone will take us to court for an easter egg paying homage

Don't mind me, just dumping a new load of files....

This one is a possible new docking music

I shared this before but the link expired. I think no one listened to this so far so you can say it is new.
EDIT: Apparently it still has 1 week to expire. My bad.

A slower version of the above

Emajogi_v3c.ogg sounds a bit 16-bit and it reminded me of this thing I made with motherboard beeps:
https://ufile.io/o5puz The Blue Danube (this might be 4 bit :))

And please, I don't want to create PR's to get feedback.

Sounds 80s retro. Does it fit with the other music pioneer has? A genuine question, as I don't know what pioneer's music sounds like.

Sorry to say, but I don't think any of us devs play pioneer with music enabled, so we're probably not that passionate about it, but that means there's a good gap for you to fill.

To play when docked (there isn't any music right now) or when docking (there are three tracks now, chosen randomly)

Fun. But isn't it too slow? Maybe the "beep" sound tells my brain it's computer music and that's usually faster. Do we eaven have a serious version of this track in pioneer? We really should.
