Some updates:
I reduced (twice) number of poly by remodeling steel ropes joints (there are 15 of them)

I deleted "pipes" from supports but I have question

Very nice.

Is the idea that the huge dome goes above the whole city?

Is it possible to string domes (of single building size) together to have a double dome, or a tripple dome, or one big dome with some smaller ones connecting to it?

I think there can be some troubles but I can make set of various Domes

Talking to members of dev team on IRC, they were very "approving" of your work. I would love to see work on this continued (or sources uploaded if you've abandoned it).

I'm not sure what is best of the two:
  • 1. One big dome on top of the city (no collision mesh so you can fly through it and land?)
    2. Many small domes, perhaps all opaque, instead of "open air" buildings? Landing pad next to them, for now at least.
For me, I've always thought about it like it was in Frontier, which was #2.
