Never been my cup of tea but it seems there will be some nice features in there.

That video has the weirdest/worst walk cycle animation I've ever seen... what is that guy doing with his arms?

Aside from that, yeah it looks interesting. I do like the idea of leaving your ship to plant explosives and do other stuff like walk around a space station.

I own X3: Reunion on Steam but for some reason I don't think I played it very much.

Yeah, it feels really clunky at lots of places. Those animations are stiff as hell for sure.
That was always one of my main issue with the X games. They feel very clunky and duplo-ish in general. Sense of scale for example is under the bottom of a frog.
