Terrible name, nice effect:



Its not as interesting when not moving, but you should get the idea. Lines that swish past showing the direction and speed of movement. Nice out in deep space where you don't have a convenient point of reference.

Its probably not for everyone, so its off by default. Look at your graphics settings for the button to turn it on.

Available in today's build (when it finishes).

Really like this effect.

Is it possible to make the streak length shorter and more dust like? This is an especially nice (and handy) motion cue at slow speeds, but can become a bit overwhelming with the longer lines as ship speed increases.

Possible improvements?
An option (perhaps in config) or a slider to adjust at what ship speed these start to become visible - since everyone's personal taste may vary on this.
Another option to adjust streak brightness to make the effect more subtle if one chooses.
