I've just submitted 2 pull requests;
There's going to be a few more that I'll bring across from Luomu's SSP fork (
with his permission ), hopefully these will include:
SpeedLines - an ArtificalReality effect showing motion through space (think "space dust" )
Trails - lines drawn behind ships/missiles etc showing their past path
HUD Reticule - indicator showing whether ships etc are friendly/hostile/neutral and your aiming cone
Oculus Rift support - hopefully before the year 3200 ;) - though it does currently break the GUI completely so don't hold your breath!
Some of it might still need a little work to polish it off properly but I'll try to get the basic PR's up for review asap.
Thanks for letting me bring these across Luomu, I think they'll make nice additions to the game :)

SpeedLines PR'd
HudTrails - work in progress, depends on SpeedLines PR and there's what looks like a bug with it when changing frames, start at Barnards Star, spawna baddy and then accelerate away, watch what happens to the trail when you leave the stations frame.
PR'd it as a WIP in case of bright ideas.

Just to say... I'll buy the Oculus Rift as soon as it will work in Pioneer on GNU-Linux! :)
