Which SciFi show does Pioneer most resemble?

When I play Pioneer, I have Firefly in my head with maybe a little Star Wars mixed in. The tech level and culture are such that I keep humming the Serenity theme from Firefly when I'm flying around. That is probably where I will head when I start designing an economy revamp, as opposed to Star Trek or Babylon 5. The FTL Hyperdrive and the sheer scale of the galaxy does suggest a bit of Star Wars, but early on when ranges (and tech in general) were limited.

How about you lot?

For me, it's more in line with The Expanse, but less politics, and even more Cowboy Bebop. Cowboy Bebop indeed.
And maybe more Babylon 5 than Star Wars, and definitely not Star Trek.

Sadly I'm yet to watch Firefly, apart from the Serenity movie, but I think I can see the similarities. I'd say Pioneer is less frontierly, and more space-cowboy-ish in the Cowboy Bebop sense.
