Tweak values

Some things that have to be tweaked:
-Size, some ships look too small and some too large
-Acceleration (semi-opional), noone can survive 30G. 12 G should be maximum for medium and large ships, tiny fighters may have special fighter pilot suits that keep organs in place and working.

There is a fast growing number of ships in the ship list.
The earlier this is begun, the less ships have to be checked.
If you have an idea what else values must be tweaked, write them in this topic.

I'm working on the Wave right now. Reducing it to 75%. It won't be comfortable, but it's about the lower limit for that ship. (just to document some discussion on IRC :D )

I agree to reducing the Wave size. It would also be slighlty easier to land on the pads, and, being the start ship, that's a good thing.
How abot the cargo capacity? Doesn't it have to be reduced?

I've checked the volumes and those make more sense to the reduced size actually.

I've just checked all ships volumes after I realized that I made Amphiesma to have a bit larger capacity then Natrix, which is bigger.

I've used blender's volume measurer in the 3D printing add-on and these are the volumes I've got (I've roughly estimated hull mass based on cargo capacity):

These are in m3 which translates to ton for fuel, and it's a reasonable to use water density for cargo capacity too in my opinion.

Most ship's capacities are generally underestimated, and deltaV-s are pretty uniform, around 30 000-40 000 mostly.
DSMiner is hell of a larger one.
Amphiesma feels quite fine with that low deltaV compared to the others, you don't have a too wide margin which is interesting in my opinion.

Good work nozmajner.

I cant really say for the other ships but the Venturestar was designed to be around 3x bigger than the Deneb which ties in almost exactly to your measurements. From the silhouette that you posted on the ship wiki, it was obvious that the DSM needed its internal capacity raised by a lot.

I presume changing these stats totally wrecks the thrust G and thruster efficiency settings (which IMO need balanced as well anyway)

It would totally wreck thrusts and deltaV-s.
I've already collected ship data to a google spreadsheet, and it calculates main thrust and deltaV too, but I want to add all thrust calculations to it before sharing.

Here's the spreadsheet with ship data. Fwd acceleration and empty deltaV is calculated based on the according data.
There are some charts on the first sheet for an overview, and the data is on the second sheet.

Totally agree, for me 12 -15 G for a fighter is high enought

It is highly probable that in the year 3200 that limitation is gone. Do not forget that a game in a world with its own rules. Because, Pioneer is a engine of game, right?
