This picture of the Moon coalescing with its lava geysers reminds me so much of some of the rocky planets in Pioneer that I just had to post it here.

Timelapse of the asterioids discovered so far. At least the ones that are inside Jupiters orbit.

We should probably look into getting the Ceres, Pluto and Charon heightmaps, even if only to release them as a mod.

They might be useful for helping us to refine how our terrain generation works.

Oh, man, just think: Flip a switch to enable far infrared view in front camera in order to find ships to attack through their heat signatures, and you get that hell fire background from the galaxy. Would be pretty. Actually this would give a scientific excuse for over-prettified sky boxes. :)
