Well if its inspiration folk are looking for there is little better than the Terran Trade Authority books! Or this video to give you ideas. ;)

I always liked O'Neill cylinders even though they hardly ever showed up in TV/Film sci-fi.
Interstellar sort of included the idea in the closing scenes but you didnt get to see it from the outside.

On a side note, has anyone considered the idea of Elevator Stations or Tethered Stations??
