Astronomy vs. Phantasy

Post by Bodasey »

I have played a little bit with the System Editor - my first victim is the Sirius system. I tried to bring Sirius A and Sirius B to the orbits who are observed and measured (got it), and I recognized that all the other stuff had to be reorganized - these planets would be ejected soon. (cf #5839 in GitHub)

Now, what is more important to you: The storytelling or "non-physical systems"? Protection of other peoples work?

Just to warn you: There is few space for stable orbits in the Sirius system. From my point of view, there should be no gas giant close to A or B (snow line estimated at 75AU)

I don't think we're wedded to the idea there must be current planetary configuration in Sirius. It would be nice with inhabited worlds in Sirius, if possible, or a space station.

Really good that you're doing some custom system (and testing out using System Editor, please report bugs & strangeness you find).

We sure want to see more custom systems.
