Re: Localized people names
Sounds like a cool project :) names statistics for Scotland wouldn't do me much good, because until a few decades ago it was illegal to register Gaelic names. I do have a list though, so I'll post it here. It's a bit long, so I'll separate this into multiple posts. Male given names Aaron Adaidh Àdha...

Localized people names
Impactor asked me of a list of common first names and surnames in my language. Could you point me to the code / file format, so I can create one? Note that I will also need separate surnames for male and female. I am also translating planet/star/constellation names for Stellarium, so if you need a l...

Re: HUD and UI ideas - mockups
I agree that the second version looks better - maybe shift the radial menu below the right panel, so it won't obscure its contents? Also, please make sure that there is enough room for translations - I am having a lot of string truncation problems with my translation of Pioneer. An article on the su...

Re: Various astronomy news
There's going to be a round table discussing 40 years of Mars exploration. Looks like the event will be in French, so if you don't understand the previous post, no point in reserving a spot ;)

VDrift uses bullet: http://vdrift.net/
Neverball uses PhysFS, which must have some form of gravity support: http://neverball.org/
Mind you I just translated them, so I have no idea how their code works ;)

Re: Major and minor save bump?
A bit of proofreading: Warning There has been a change in this version of Pioneer that is partially incompatible with this save. Part of the price of development progress is that sometimes changes are made to the universe: stars, planets, mission ships and characters might move location, change name...

A typo:
"Very good. We will recommend you for future assignments.."
2 fullstops at the end.

Re: Plural form support for translations
Thanks :)
I can only run Pioner on a computer that has a fuzzy screen, so I can't look at it long enough to learn how to steer a spaceship. This will be the first real space game for my language though. :D
