My first (and second) impression of the faces in Pioneer were the same as yours. They're incredibly ugly. Did you buy a hyper drive by doing in system deliveries? if so, how many did you do, and what's the in game date? Would rogue planets be visible on the star map, or would one have to have the exact coordinates for them to go there?

I'm thinking rogue planets could be useful for military missions, and/or some Lovecraftian expedition, but maybe not that central for game play from where I'm sitting. But who knows?

Pioneer could run a lot faster on my computer. It is so slow starting so if I need to do a lot of testing I generally do it at work where my computer is faster. Starting it on my home laptop is generally a pain. What if Visual Studio was open source/free software? What if you could easily extend it ...

Yeah, we need more medium ships, that could have 10t-20t cargo hold after fitted with basic ship equipment. Kind of like an ASP/Cobra mkII.
