Re: Interstellar and Interplanetary travel - FTL

Necro-posting 8 years later! I'm currently reading Diaspora by Greg Egan. In chapter 7 (& 8,9) he lays out the physics for wormholes. I thought it interesting to note it down here: At the plank-Wheeler length, all of space is filled with quantum worm holes every elementary particle is the mouth ...

Re: Updated Galaxy Simulation 'Hephestos'

Below comments assuming you're aiming to get the changes into master, if this is a stand alone mod, then do as you wish. I assume rouge planets are those without solar system. Re: Underrated ambience sounds

I believe WKFO recorded the engine of a bus he was riding and used it as basis for military drive. (or when drive fails? I can't remember now)

"This article describes how I generate an infinite city using the Wave Function Collapse algorithm in a way that is fast, deterministic, parallelizable and reliable. It's a follow-up to my 2019 article on adapting the WFC algorithm to generate an infinite world. The new approach presented in th...

Re: modifications to the game, displaying images on the screen via lua scripts

what are the limitations of lua scripts, is it possible to add objects to planets with their help? No. See https://codedoc.pioneerspacesim.net for methods currently supported. Adding image is probably no very beginner friendly. Adding or improving a mission module might be more viable. Or use our c...
