Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

Thanks Fluffy, yes, I am trying to get back into the swing of things again, with the end goal of releasing to Pioneer.

I am trying to get the texture style right, sort of space shuttle look and feel, and then back port to the Deneb and Venturestar

Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

This is what 100 thin thrusters looks like ;)

I could probably reduce this count slightly and get the same effect if there are performance issues.

Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

Thanks, I have been trying to keep most of the model as sleek and plain as possible so thought I would do something different with the thruster plumes. And yes the docking collar retracts under a cover where landing gear retracted. After a lit of investigation, I have found out why the animations ar...

Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

Wow, almost a year since I last looked at this last. Anyway, i have made a few more tweaks to this ship recently. still very WIP and lots of things that are now broken after my changes (the the landing gear animations for one.) http://zordey.com/Documents/Pioneer/2018-01-19_13-38-47.png http://zorde...

Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

yes thanks impaktor, lots of good feedback, and yes, starting to investigate the normal maps have highlighted an issue with my UV unwrap which is a minor setback but better finding out now rather than later :)

Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

Howdy, wow cant believe its been over 2 years since I looked at this. I have made a few (quite a few actually) changes and have re-UV unwrapped the model and got it nice a square. I thought I would make a quick video to get feedback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-mEq-QJBZc&feature=youtu.be S...

Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

Having a tunnel through the cargo bay to get in and out would severely cut down the already tiny cargo hold.

I had just assumed an opening cockpit like a fighter jet but after reading the link of impaktor's I may try and put in some sort of hatch right behind the cockpit area for docking.

Re: ALBR Corp - Cygnet

Hi nozmajner, The center thing at the rear is just a shape really following the curves of the top and fitting between the engines. It does look a little too much like a hatch now you mention it but that was not really the intention. Maybe a place for a rear gun turret eventually? I have just been tr...

ALBR Corp - Cygnet

Hi all, I actually got the chance to sit down for a few hours over the last couple of nights and got to start some work on this little ship that @nozmajner helped me draw up (several months ago). It is a small, one person, atmospheric capable craft Excuse the poor image quality and child like doodli...
