Re: Player bases
I really like the look of those bases, honestly. It would actually be really cool if most of the random little towns looked like that.

Re: News on BBS
These are very good ideas. I was thinking it would be easiest to to just display dead news, as it would liven up the universe. It would help feel like stuff is happening, even if nothing is. That said, if you guys would rather have only news that actually does stuff, all the better! It just seems li...

Creating "New" News
A while back, I asked about the news Lua module, and was told it was receiving an overhaul. I was also informed that if I wanted to incorporate new articles unrelated to commodity prices, it would be appreciated. The only thing I have to do is supply the JSON file. Unfortunately, I was unable to mak...

I like the idea. It certainly has potential.

Re: News on BBS
Good stuff! I totally get where you're coming from with wanting people to see new things, but it seems way too rare. I got over two years into the game and never saw a single entry. Also, I may not be a coder, but I could write articles, along with other stuff, like why people want a package to go s...

Re: News on BBS
I set it to have a minimum time of zero, and a 100% of creating an article on system entry. It was nice having it, but there was a problem; they never got deleted. There was an article from Jan 1 still up in May. Any way to fix this? Also, why is it set to only start creating news half a year into t...

News on BBS
Looking through the Lua modules, I found a Newspaper generator. That said, it looks like it should work, but I've never seen it on the BBS. Never. Not once. Is it broken somehow? Was it purposely deactivated? I know I'd really like to see a newspaper implemented, as it would add a lot of flavor to t...

Re: Scanner Range
Those boxes are ships, right? If so, cool! Also, 100 km seems like a really short scanner range. Think we could change that in the official build to something more reasonable? What would be most realistic would probably be to give it unlimited range, but make contacts farther out get updated less fr...

Scanner Range
One thing that was brought up recently was that pirates can't really do good intercepts. This made me realize that sensor range is currently very short. So I have two questions. First, what is the current range of the scanner? It looks like maybe a couple hundred kilometers at most. Second, how woul...
