Re: How busy is too busy?
Unfortunately my coding experience is close to zero, so I don't think I'm going to be much help there... If the whole universe is going to be reworked soon-ish, maybe it would just be easier to use the planets radius until it's been done. You are going to have to do this again anyway after that.

Re: How busy is too busy?
Is there a population value assigned to a single world currently? Or are the population numbers always system wide?

Re: Autorefueler and ditching/reducing separate fuel tank
I agree, we should have all our fuel in the cargo bay. This would give us the choice to transport alot of cargo slowly or alittle of it quickly. I don't think, that would be a good idea. The autopilot can not know, how much hydrogen you need left for hyperjumps. So, that way you could end up consum...

Re: Autorefueler and ditching/reducing separate fuel tank
Also: It costs me $1 to land and refuel 30t of the internal tank. It costs me $30 to put 30t of fuel into the cargo bay. I was recently floating in an uninhabited system with 1t of fuel in my cargo bay. Next system was 2t of fuel away. It would have been nice to use one additional tonne of the fuel ...

Re: Autopilot - small change
Not excatly on topic, but my autopilot couldn't land on a planet that was on a very close orbit around a brown dwarf. Is this a bug or a feature? Should I open a Github thingy? I have a save of it.

Re: Rethinking the planets
Environmental multiplier is from 1 to 1000 Need to take oceans into account as well. Good point. Edit: I don't know how the surface textures are made. Is it easy to use the planet's textures to determine the ocean percentage of a planet? I can edit the first post when we have a concensus on somethi...

Re: Rethinking the planets
I think you've pretty much nailed it, but I think that an agricultural world would potentially be able to export more than food. Liquor, narcotics, and luxury goods like exotic body care products and perfumes and luxury textiles that could only be produced on such a world come to mind. Thanks Marce...

Rethinking the planets
I recently found an asteroid with 200km diameter and about 230 million people living on it. Apparently the place was pretty much self-sustained, as there was no food other than animal meat in the imports list. Maybe there are some deeper technical issues that need to be fixed first, but in my opinio...

https://dl.dropbox.com/s/7vh4djjw1gccq29/Tradescreen%20with%20a%20map%20small.jpg I had something like this in mind. I even added the drop-down menu for you ;) (Click the picture to get a less terrible quality version of the image.) If each starport has it's own prices, are the imports and exports ...
